Jordan Barnes is a proud native of Rutherford County and a graduate of R-S Central High School in Rutherfordton. He continued his education at University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he earned his degree in Political Science as part of the Class of 2009.

Jordan has built his career around one core mission: serving his community. He began in banking and finance in 2010, helping individuals and families navigate important financial decisions. In 2017, he expanded that commitment to a broader level by serving as a Regional Representative for Western North Carolina in the United States Senate, where he worked closely with local leaders, businesses, and residents to address community needs and strengthen regional partnerships.

He continued his public service at the Foothills Regional Commission, supporting initiatives that promoted economic growth and improved quality of life across the region. In 2025, Jordan returned to Capitol Hill, briefly serving in the U.S. House of Representatives, further deepening his experience in advocating for the communities he calls home.

In April 2026, Jordan joined Mathewson Mortgage Capital, where he continues his commitment to service by helping individuals and families achieve the dream of homeownership. Through every role, Jordan remains dedicated to building meaningful relationships, supporting local growth, and making a lasting impact in the community he proudly serves.
